The Orbislucent Companion

Practical advice, tested properly

About The Orbislucent Companion

The Orbislucent Companion has published since 2019. We write about food, technology and homelife, with a bias toward advice that still holds up months after the novelty has worn off.

How we work

We buy what we test and we live with it before writing about it. Where a recommendation depends on circumstances, we say so rather than pretending a single answer fits everyone.

  • We prefer the boring option when it is the correct one.
  • We revisit older articles when the underlying advice changes.
  • We say plainly when we have not tested something ourselves.

Who writes here

Clara Marsh, Editor. Clara covers technology, and prefers the boring answer when it is the correct one.

Lena Ibarra, Senior Editor. Lena edits our coverage of food, and is happiest when a recommendation survives six months of real use.

Nathaniel Barros, Managing Editor. Nathaniel writes the weekly column on homelife, and reads the manual so you do not have to.
